Christians come to know Advent as the season of expectation, waiting, and preparedness. Let's reframe how we view the secular Christmas season. Think of it as a journey from darkness to light. After all, Christmas is the victory of light over darkness. It is also a journey from the chaos of our lives to a glimpse of peace; it is a journey from separateness to the union of love.
